May 16, 2011 United's McDowell Leaves By Choice Former Continental Airlines senior manager for distribution planning Amos Khim will replace Robert McDowell as head of distribution at United Airlines, a United spokesman confirmed. According to a source, McDowell is headed to Choice Hotels. McDowell took on the role of managing director of distribution and e-commerce at United in October 2009, and kept the job after the post-merger senior management reshuffling at United Continental. Khim's LinkedIn profile indicates he has held positions in corporate forecasting, pricing and inventory management at United. The United spokesman said the company was "not certain" if Khim would hold the same title as McDowell had, but he "will be assuming the responsibilities."
