Representatives should show earnings everry time and not one dime that is not just the salary they get paid. Campaign donations should come only from their constuents.
Those who vote for them and who they Serve. No fact finding junkets to other countries.
That is the business of the state department and embassies. Not Senators and congresspersons. No McCain taking Rubio and others to Iraq on fact finding missions to burnish their foreigh credentials. It is the "Way of the Left", to use SOCIAL PRESSURE. To move things....Really the one big change that I agree with is....take the money out of politics. Take away the corporate right to make very large contributions to political parties. That right there would change and shift the power of voting back to the people. And that is the only change I support. Corporations....are not people....They are a "business ID", and should stick to that. All we need do is repeal that Corporation Contribution laws, and make it so they cannot, "Buy America".
Other than that.....Who doesn't need a job? Would you hire someone protesting you?
The article talks like corporations are a part of the government that we don't vote in....well there is the bureaucracy of the actual government that we don't vote in. Including the Presidents Cabinet, advisors, agency head, and personnel. That is done by the government. We don't even vote in The Chief Justices of The Supreme Court, and they have an impact on us. But they are appointed by the President, confirmed by Congress, and it is a way of applying checks and balances.
I would not call it "Unregulated Capitalism." And the incentive goes out, when you get taxed more and more, and levy fees and licenses, etc....business is being regulated through taxation and fees. I have a friend whose wife owns a hair salon. She can hardly do business anymore there are so many fees, etc...there are about 20 or more licenses and fees, on top of the taxes, etc...probably over HALF her income is gone before she actually makes any money. So the incentive is just not there. And this is GOVERNMENT that is doing this, not WALL STREET. And it is happening on the City, State, and Federal levels, across the country.
But with the incompetent wasteful spending of government, the state and local governments have gotten hungry, and are nickle and dime-ing everybody to death....This "movement" needs to move to D.C. and ask WHY they are allowing American Jobs to go else where?
Even a staunch Communist....NEEDS TO MAKE A LIVING THAT IS ABUNDANT ENOUGH TO RAISE HIS OR HERS FAMILY!!!! SAME FOR A STAUNCH CAPITALIST....ALSO, THE AMERICAN WAY, is to find a better way, and work that. So, all you out of work people need to do is start your own businesses, and HIRE EACH OTHER!!!!! GOOD FOR THE ECONOMY....Go to the government, they will loan you the money to start it up....get BUSY PEOPLE!!!!!
