Optional Protection: An optional protection will be provided where it is available. Specific information on availability and cost can be obtained when making a reservation.
Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is not insurance. LDW relieves you, the renter, of financial responsibility if the car is damaged or stolen when used as permitted by the Fastbreak Terms and Conditions. If you don't have automobile or credit card insurance that covers rental cars, you should consider accepting the Loss Damage Waiver.
If you decline LDW you are responsible for up to the full fair market value of the car if it is damaged, vandalized or stolen during the rental. You may also be responsible for reimbursing Budget for the revenue lost by not being able to use the car while it is being repaired or not recovered due to theft (loss of use).
LDW is offered for an additional charge per day. Charge may vary by location and class of vehicle. Liability for damages to the rental car may be covered by your personal insurance, credit card agreement or other coverage. You should check your policy or agreement for details. You should also consult the Fastbreak Terms and Conditions for more details about this optional protection.
Personal Accident and Effects Insurance (PAE) provides you, the renter, and your passengers of the rental vehicle with accidental death benefits and coverage for certain medical expenses. You are protected both in and out of the rental car for accidental injury from most causes during the entire rental period, and others are covered while occupying the car.
In addition, PAE provides protection against loss of or damage to certain personal property belonging to you and individuals traveling with you during your rental.
PAE is offered for an additional charge per day. Charge may vary by location and class of vehicle. Liability for personal accident and effects may be covered by your personal insurance or other coverage. You should check your policies for details. You should also consult the Fastbreak Terms and Conditions for more details about this optional protection.
Canadian Residents. In Canada, PAE coverage is different than the coverage described above. The specific coverages offered at participating locations in Canada prevail. Terms of these coverages are available at rental counters in Canada upon request.
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) provides protection against bodily injury and property damage to others for which you, the renter, are legally liable. SLI is excess automobile liability insurance that protects you and all authorized drivers of the rental vehicle against third-party bodily injury and property-damage claims. SLI provides you or authorized driver $1 million combined single limit liability protection.
With SLI, liability protection provided on your Fastbreak rental becomes primary and applies before other liability protection available to you – saving you from possible premium increases or even cancellation of your other coverage(s).
SLI is offered for an additional charge per day. Charge may vary by location and class of vehicle. Liability for injuries or damages to other people or property may be covered by your personal insurance or other coverage. You should check your policies for details. You should also consult the Fastbreak Terms and Conditions for more details about this optional protection.
Canadian Residents. SLI is only offered in the US on rentals that originate and terminate in the US.
